"Desire and deceit have powerful consequences in this seductive and fiercely witty look at games of love and lust in 18th century France. The beautiful and cunning La Marquise de Merteuil enlists her partner-in-crime Valmont, played by Michael T. Weiss (last season's Burn This), to seduce a former lover's young bride-to-be in this thrilling adaptation of the classic novel by Choderlos de Laclos.

Christopher Hampton's plays, musicals, and translations have garnered three Tony Awards, two Olivier Awards, an Academy Award, two BAFTAs, and a Special Jury Prize at Cannes. His screenplays include Dangerous Liaisons, The Quiet American, and Mary Reilly.

This production contains nudity and adult situations. "   - The Huntington Theatre
